Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Waterworks Labourer to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of municipal water and wastewater systems. The successful candidate will work as part of a crew responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted water services to the community.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of water mains, service lines, hydrants, valves, and sewer systems
- Perform manual excavation, trenching, shoveling, and backfilling
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Direct traffic and ensure worksite safety in accordance with regulations
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment,



and vehicles
- Respond to emergency water main breaks or service disruptions as required
- Follow all occupational health and safety guidelines

Qualifications & Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous construction or utility labour experience considered an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of safe trenching and excavation practices
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and on-call shifts
- Solid teamwork and communication skills

Working Conditions

- Outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Exposure to heavy equipment and traffic environments
- Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs or more)
- Kneeling, bending, climbing, and prolonged standing
