La Mano is a pasta business built around handmade pasta, quality ingredients, and a fun, approachable approach to Italian-inspired cooking. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen at Lonsdale Quay Market.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership position for a chef who loves to cook, develop people, and build great systems. You'll oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, lead our pasta program, train and develop the team, manage ordering and inventory, and work closely with ownership on menu and seasonal development.

What You'll Do
Lead daily kitchen operations, prep, and service.
Train, coach, and develop cooks while building a positive kitchen culture.
Oversee fresh pasta production and maintain high standards for quality and consistency.
Cook on the line and lead by example during service.
Manage ordering, receiving, inventory, pars, and food waste.
Help develop new pasta dishes, seasonal features, and Pasta Club offerings.
Maintain recipes, prep systems, food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen organization.




Work with ownership to continuously improve the food program and kitchen operations.

What We're Looking For
Professional kitchen leadership experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, or similar.
Solid cooking fundamentals and a genuine passion for pasta.
Experience making fresh pasta is a strong asset.
Organized, reliable, and comfortable managing ordering and inventory.
A natural teacher who enjoys developing cooks and building a solid team.
Calm and solutions-oriented during busy service.
Hands-on, positive, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
Creative and curious, while respecting consistency and the fundamentals of good cooking.
