Job Title: Intermediate Accountant

Overview We are currently recruiting on behalf of an organization in the Toronto area operating within the logistics and manufacturing sectors. They are seeking a detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to support their day-to-day finance function. This role is ideal for a proactive team player who enjoys hands-on, full-cycle operational accounting, including heavy AP/AR coordination, inventory oversight, and account reconciliations in a rapid-paced workplace.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee full-cycle AP and AR activities, including vendor bill verification, customer invoicing, collections, and weekly payment runs
Perform month-end closing activities, general ledger journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
Track and reconcile inventory, freight costs, and billing documentation across operations
Prepare sales tax filings (HST/GST)



and assist with annual audit schedules and compliance requests
Reconcile bank accounts, corporate credit cards, and intercompany transactions
Investigate reporting variances and partner with internal operations teams to ensure accurate cost allocations

Qualifications
2–4 years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment
Solid understanding of core AP/AR processes, general ledger management, and inventory costing principles
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Dynamics 365, NetSuite) and intermediate-to-advanced MS Excel capabilities
Working towards a CPA designation is considered a strong asset
Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy

Compensation
$65,000 - $70,000 annually, plus advantages package
