Our client is an International marketing strategy management solution provider that designs and markets computer software for retailers.
They are currently seeking a serious software developer to join the team in building a robust production tool(s) for the media industry.
The successful candidate has experience coding advanced InDesign plugins for qualified and creative designers working in Adobe in Design, while enhancing and exploring the edge of what can be achieved.
The incumbent will be expected to participate in an agile environment in a small developer team and be capable of working in a self directed manner.
This role would suit an individual who is passionate about working in an agile software developer position in a team where action is the default and change is the only constant!
Role:
Responsible for the development of InDesign plug-ins providing increased functionality and integration into client multichannel merchandising systems.
20% of this role is working with Adobe InDesign plug-in development of InDesign plug-ins providing increased functionalities and integration into multichannel merchandising systems.
Previous InDesign experience is a plus, however the client will train the successful candidate on the technology if they do not have previous experience.
Skills/Experience:
Expert level , hands on working knowledge utilizing C++
3 to 5 years of experience in a development role
Development setting knowledge must include MAX OS X
Intermediate knowledge of JAVA is required
Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP, WSDL, UDDI) would be considered and asset
Solid English language communications skills are required as there is extensive client interfacing
Education should include a BA Degree in Computer Science or related field
Charismatic, down to earth, friendly and professional manner
