Sanjo Sushi is a growing Japanese restaurant in Uptown New Westminster. We're looking for a skilled chef who can handle both the roll station and sashimi and takes pride in clean technique and consistent execution.
Schedule: Full-time, 4 days a week (Sunday to Wednesday), 2 days on the roll station / 2 days on sashimi.
What you'll be doing
Roll Station:
Prepare maki, uramaki, and specialty rolls with consistency and speed.
Handle daily mise en place - rice, fillings, sauces, toppings.
Follow portioning and rolling standards to support cost control and consistency.
Sashimi Station:
Slice and plate sashimi to order with precision and clean knife work.
Portion fish according to daily specifications and freshness standards.
Set up and break down the sashimi station with care for food safety.
Both roles:
Maintain high standards for food quality, sanitation, and station organization.
Communicate smoothly with the kitchen and front-of-house during service.
What we're looking for
Experience on both roll and sashimi stations (must be able to work independently).
Clean, fast technique with attention to presentation and portioning.
Reliable, punctual, and calm under pressure.
Food Safe certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain).

Salary: $25.00 per hour.
