We are currently hiring for the position of:
Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Communications – Market, the Market Trade Distribution Assistant plays a key role in supporting the daily distribution of trade publications and promotional materials. This hands‑on position is responsible for preparing daily delivery documentation, coordinating driver routes, loading vehicles, maintaining product displays, and ensuring brand standards are consistently met at distribution locations for TIFF: The Market.
The successful candidate is organized, physically capable, and enjoys working in a rapid‑paced environment where accuracy, teamwork, and customer service are essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily Distribution Operations Prepare and organize daily delivery documentation each morning.




Assemble delivery manifests detailing publications, delivery locations, quantities, and delivery sequence.
Prepare route packages ("driver magazines") for each driver to ensure efficient daily operations.
Coordinate and support hotel delivery routes as assigned.
Verify all delivery documentation is accurate and complete before vehicles depart.
Vehicle Loading & Logistics Assist with loading delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
Ensure publications and promotional materials are organized according to delivery routes.
Support drivers with loading and operational requirements before departure.
Inventory & Merchandising Conduct regular checks throughout the day at trade publication display locations.
Replenish magazines and promotional materials as required.
Monitor and maintain brand exclusivity by ensuring approved publications and marketing materials are displayed correctly.
Report stock shortages or distribution issues to management.
Assist with onboarding and training volunteers involved in distribution activities.
Provide guidance on delivery procedures, safety practices, and company standards.
Support volunteers to ensure consistency and quality across distribution activities.
General Duties Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
Communicate effectively with drivers, volunteers, hotels, and management.
Perform other distribution and operational duties as required.
JOB GRADE & SALARY:
Job Grade: 1
$22/Hourly
August 31st, 2026 - September 16th, 2026
WORK LOCATION:
Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5




Weekly in-office requirements:
Minimum 2 days (November to April)
Minimum 3 days (May to October)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution, retail merchandising, or a similar role is considered an asset.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Experience training or supervising volunteers is an asset.
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as required for events or special projects.
Physical Requirements
This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to:
Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
Bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive physical movements.
Stand and walk for extended periods.
Load and unload delivery vehicles safely.
Work both indoors and outdoors as required.
