Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate for the Community Mental Health Worker 2 position is a compassionate, client‑centered professional with experience supporting individuals with severe and persistent mental health and/or substance use challenges within a community‑based setting. This individual demonstrates a strong understanding of psychosocial rehabilitation and harm reduction principles, and is skilled in engaging clients as active participants in their own recovery by building trust, fostering independence, and supporting meaningful goal setting.
What will you work on?
The Community Mental Health Worker 2 functions as a part of the larger Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) health care team and as a member of a specific Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) multi-disciplinary specialized team whose purpose is to ensure that persons with severe and persistent mental health problems and/or substance use disorders have access to timely, responsive, evidence based psychosocial rehabilitation across the continuum of available services. Performs a variety of life skills, advocacy, supportive counseling, psychosocial rehabilitation planning,
and general support duties involving clients who are living in their own housing for the assigned client population(s).
Scheduling Information:
Shift types are days and shift times are from 08:30 to 16:30 hours. This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week.
