Empower urban Indigenous communities as a Community Reconnection Navigator with Kamloops Aboriginal Friendship Society. Play a vital role in supporting those involved in the justice system and promoting healing.

In this full-time contract role, reporting to the Family Violence Prevention Manager, you will provide crucial navigation and reintegration support for individuals facing challenges after justice involvement. Utilize your knowledge of cultural practices and advocacy skills to assist participants in building healthier relationships and reconnecting with their culture and community.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized support for reintegration planning and advocacy
• Co-facilitate Warriors Against Violence group sessions with participants
• Support access to housing, employment, and healthcare resources




• Assist participants in understanding and adhering to release conditions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners

Requirements:
• Diploma in Human Services, Social Work, or related field
• Experience with justice-involved individuals
• Solid group facilitation and conflict resolution skills
• Knowledge of Indigenous justice principles and trauma-informed practices
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and transportation access
