Key Responsibilities Assembly of dampers, suspension modules Testing new and existing damper designs Validation of product assembly Ensure the product meets the performance specifications per the test standards Conduct product tear down and analysis and functional tests on Dynos Advise APQP team on design/DFMEA issues Provide value improvement suggestions Interact with tooling and process engineering to ensure product design allows for cost effective manufacturing Generate technical reports and product performance sheets as required Continuously develop designs to reduce cost of manufacturing Analyzing failed dampers from the dyno operation using reports supplied Disassembly of failed dampers Root cause analysis of failures modes and effects Completion of tear down paperwork.
Rework any production failures
Any other reprocessing that arises from the production line
Assisting in assembly investigations conducted by other departments
Provide input into DFMEA and PFMEA teams
Ensure assemblies are to print and adhere to the defined processes
Maintain work area in a clean and organized fashion
Follow all departmental and general procedures where applicable
Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Department Manager
Abide by all company safety rules, responsibilities, policies, and procedures including the legislative requirements of the OHSA
Work in compliance and conform to the Workplace and ISO 14001 standards
Adopt and practice Kaizen principles; participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities
Any other reasonable tasks given by supervisor
Basic Requirements Completion of a 2- or 3-year college diploma in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering
Strong Mechanical aptitude




Strong Mathematical knowledge
Working knowledge of computer design software
Ability to read & interpret blueprints
Strong understanding of instrumentation
Good understanding tolerancing, stack analysis and of GD&T;
Proficiently use basic hand tools safely
Ability to clearly communicate issues to supervisors and teams
Good understanding of Health and safety
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong knowledge of damper assembly and components
Fluent in Microsoft office Excel, Word, Power BI etc.
Strong organizational skills
Ability to travel domestic & international
This job posting is for an existing vacancy. The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be: $20.50 - $30.59
