Commercial Litigation AA Clerk/Jr LAA
On befalf of our client, one of BC’s Top Employers for 2026, TEEMA is seeking a professional, driven and energetic Administrative Clerk/Legal Administrative Assistant to join our client's Commercial Litigation group. The successful candidate will ideally have 1+ years of experience working in a corporate environment. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter with exceptional interpersonal skills, who thrives in a quick-paced and rewarding team environment.
Responsibilities
Organization of documents in binders
Prepare open matter reports and request/gather all necessary client documentation
Prepare closed file reports, strip files, organize file materials
Assist with organizing meetings and scheduling appointments
Print / copy / scan / save documents in document management system
Prepare expense reports
Assist with accounting, billing and payment tasks
Provide desk coverage for Legal Administrative Assistants, overflow assistance, and other general administrative duties as required
Must Haves
1+ years of experience in a clerical or administrative capacity in a corporate setting
Completion, or in the process of, of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program preferred
Strong knowledge of medical terminology considered an asset
Good technical skills including Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel
Commitment to providing first-rate and prompt quality service
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding the firm, its clients and any related matters
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen effectively and respond appropriately
Ability to develop and build strong relationships and rapport with clients, lawyers, and legal assistants
Excellent organizational skills with a solid attention to detail to produce high quality and accurate work
Solid work ethic and team player
A willingness to learn and to adapt to changing demands
Ability to prioritize tasks by deadline, work calmly under pressure and manage a high volume of work in a quick-paced and time sensitive environment
Proven ability to take initiative as well as follow instructions
A polished and skilled image and demeanor with a positive can-do attitude
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this role is $56,000 – $60,000 annually + RRSP + 3 weeks holiday + 12 personal days
