Salary: 49,000 - 53,000 annually

Job Summary The Skills Trainer (ST) facilitates In Motion & Momentum Plus (IM&M;+) curriculum to EmployAbilities Grande Prairie (EAGP) participants through engaging, cohort-based training that equips participants with the knowledge, confidence, and employability skills needed for workplace success. Using interactive facilitation, coaching, and practical learning activities, the ST supports participants in developing work readiness, soft skills, workplace competencies, and job search skills. In addition to delivering the IM&M;+ curriculum, the ST provides case management to participants who may require structured pre-employment supports to address barriers and improve work readiness. Working collaboratively with the EAGP team and community partners, the ST develops individualized service plans, coordinates appropriate supports, and helps participants build the stability, skills, and confidence needed to achieve sustainable employment outcomes.

Skills Training & Facilitation Deliver the In Motion & Momentum Plus (IM&M;+) curriculum through engaging cohort-based training.
Facilitate interactive training sessions that support employment readiness and workplace success.
Adapt training to meet diverse learning/accessibility needs and foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
Monitor participant progress and adjust facilitation strategies to support learning outcomes.
Case Management Build participant confidence through coaching, group activities, and individualized learning support.
Conduct intake sessions,
various participant assessments, and develop individualized service plans continuously.
Monitor participant progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
Collaborate with Case Managers, Employer Liaisons, the Community Service Coordinator, and Skills Development Coordinator to provide coordinated, participant-centred services.
Maintain knowledge of wraparound support options in the community that will assist participants in to move closer to employment.
Communicate participant progress and support needs to ensure continuity of service.
Administration & Reporting Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential participant documentation in accordance with agency and funder requirements.
Track participant outcomes and contribute to program evaluation and continuous improvement.
Professional Development & Compliance Obtain and maintain In Motion & Momentum + (IM&M;+) facilitator training and all associated responsibilities as a core requirement of this position.
Maintain current knowledge of employment readiness, facilitation skills, and case management best practices.
Adhere to organizational policies, confidentiality requirements, and health and safety standards.
Participate in ongoing career development to strengthen knowledge and skills.
Educational Background Diploma or degree in Human Services, Adult Education, Career Development, Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Education, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience facilitating group training, workshops, or adult learning programs using engaging, participant-centred approaches.
Additional certifications such as First Aid/CPR,
Mental Health First Aid, ASIST, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, or Trauma-Informed Care are considered an asset.
Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Clear criminal record check including vulnerable sector clearance.
Technical Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital case management systems.
Strong digital literacy skills, including the use of virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet).
Knowledge of community resource navigation and service coordination tools.
Experience Experience facilitating group training, workshops, or adult learning programs using engaging, participant-centred approaches.
Experience providing case management, coaching, or employment services to individuals with disabilities, employment barriers, or diverse support needs.
Knowledge of local community resources, employment services, and supports for persons with disabilities.
Previous work with vulnerable populations and/or individuals facing barriers to employment is preferred.
Familiarity with employment programs, government systems, or vocational rehabilitation is considered an asset.
