This position plays a crucial role in enhancing access to employment opportunities across the Northwest Territories. The Career Development Navigator will collaborate with various stakeholders, including Indigenous governments and educational institutions, to deliver effective career and training services. Key responsibilities involve case management, administering funding programs, and fostering partnerships to facilitate apprenticeship and trade certification.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive career and training programs and services
• Provide customized case management for clients
• Administer funding and training initiatives under contribution agreements
• Support apprenticeship registration and compliance monitoring
• Develop partnerships with employers and community organizations
Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma or Journey Certification with 2 years' experience
• Solid communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience engaging with diverse clients, especially Indigenous
• Familiarity with employment and training programs
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License or ability to obtain
