This position has a term length of 2 years from the date of hire.
Location This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton.
Reporting to an Associate Director of the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), the Instructional Designer - AI and Assessment, supports instructors and instructional teams in designing effective, creative, and evidence-informed approaches to teaching, learning, and assessment. The position provides particular expertise in the thoughtful use of AI to enhance teaching and learning and support evolving approaches to assessment.
As a member of the CTL team, the Instructional Designer:
Develops and delivers professional learning and resources on AI, assessment, and instructional design.
Provides consultation to instructors and instructional teams on course and assessment design across face-to-face, online, remote, and blended contexts.
Promotes and models effective teaching practices aligned with the Teaching, Learning, and Evaluation Policy and Framework for Effective Teaching.
Collaborates across CTL to develop coherent, integrated programming and services.
Contributes to the evaluation and continuous improvement of CTL programs and services through evidence-informed and scholarly approaches.
