Prepare engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and technical reports for a variety of civil infrastructure projects, including stormwater management, functional servicing, municipal watermain and sewer systems, site grading and servicing, drainage, roadways, utilities, and transit infrastructure projects.
Conduct servicing studies and environmental assessments, including hydraulic modelling, condition assessments, sewer capacity analysis, construction support, and life cycle project costing.
Perform and support hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, stormwater management analysis, drainage studies, flood assessments, and water resources design solutions.
Review and seal engineering drawings and reports, where authorized and applicable, in accordance with professional engineering requirements.
Support the development of project schedules, specifications, fee estimates, and work plans, and monitor project progress to support delivery of project objectives within scope, schedule, and budget.
Coordinate with the design team and sector leads, Project Managers, clients, and approval agencies on day-to-day project management activities.
Liaise with internal departments and sub-consultants to coordinate technical aspects of projects, working closely with Sector Managers and Project Leads.
Identify project risks, issues, and potential schedule impacts, and escalate concerns to support timely resolution.
Support the maintenance of positive client relationships by responding to inquiries, coordinating deliverables, and addressing project-related concerns.
Provide construction support, including site reviews, responding to technical inquiries, reviewing shop drawings, and supporting contract administration activities.
Represent LEA as a consulting engineer in meetings with clients, stakeholders, approval agencies,



and project partners.
Ensure quality control and quality assurance measures are followed throughout the project.
Comply with health and safety policies and support a culture of safety by proactively identifying and mitigating workplace hazards to protect the well-being of team members.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 4–6 years of relevant consulting experience in water resources, municipal, transportation, or civil infrastructure projects.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), or eligible for registration through interprovincial mobility.
Demonstrated experience delivering engineering design and technical studies related to stormwater management, hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, municipal servicing, drainage, and civil infrastructure projects.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, clients, approval agencies, and sub-consultants throughout various phases of project delivery.
Experience supporting project planning, scheduling, fee estimates, specifications, and contract documentation.
Proficiency with industry-standard engineering software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InfoWorks, Visual OTTHYMO, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, and related design and modelling tools.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, design standards, and applicable municipal, provincial,



and regulatory requirements related to civil infrastructure and water resources projects.
Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical engineering solutions and exercise sound engineering judgement.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary project teams.
