The Opportunity Living Sky School Division is seeking a Permanent Full time Teacher (1.0 FTE) to join the team at Cando Community School beginning August 26, 2026.
The successful candidate will teach in either an elementary or middle years assignment, with the specific grade level and teaching responsibilities determined based on the successful applicant’s skills, experience, and areas of strength, as well as the needs of the school.
This position offers the opportunity to work within an alternative school calendar, including several 4-day workweeks and approximately 14 Fridays off throughout the school year.
About Cando Community School Cando Community School is a Kindergarten to Grade 12 school located in the Hamlet of Cando. The school serves students from Red Pheasant Cree First Nation, Mosquito First Nation, and surrounding communities.
Staff are committed to creating a learning environment that is inclusive, relationship-based, and responsive to the diverse cultural and learning needs of students.




We Are Seeking An Educator Who Demonstrates a commitment to incorporating First Nations history, perspectives, and ways of knowing across the curriculum through an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens
Builds strong, meaningful relationships with students to support engagement, belonging, and success
Is skilled in differentiating instruction to respond to diverse student strengths and learning needs
Creates engaging and responsive learning experiences for elementary and/or middle years students
Advocates for student needs and incorporates student voice into learning and school life
Values collaboration and contributes positively to a supportive school team
Demonstrates flexibility, organization, and a willingness to adapt to the needs of students and the school community
Qualifications Valid Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate or eligibility for Saskatchewan teacher certification
