Role Description The Rental Program Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the resort’s rental department. This role includes planning and managing rental inventory, ensuring accurate equipment fitting, and maintaining high standards of safety and guest service. The Rental Program Manager coordinates staff scheduling, trains team members on procedures and product knowledge, and monitors performance to deliver efficient, friendly service during peak and off-peak periods. The role also involves collaborating with other resort departments, tracking rental metrics, optimizing workflows, and addressing guest inquiries or issues in a timely,



professional manner. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive work environment, support continuous improvement in rental operations, and help guests enjoy a safe and memorable experience on the mountain.
Qualifications Experience managing or supervising rental, retail, or guest service operations, preferably in a ski, snowboard, or outdoor recreation environment.
Strong leadership, team coordination, and staff training skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a diverse seasonal workforce.
Operational planning and organizational skills, including scheduling, inventory control, and process improvement.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities, with a focus on safety, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
Basic financial and administrative skills, such as tracking performance metrics, managing budgets, and using point-of-sale or rental management systems.
Knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment, fitting principles, and industry safety standards (or willingness to learn quickly).
Ability to work in office in a mountain resort environment, including weekends, holidays, and peak season periods as required.
Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, or recreation management and relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience are considered assets.
