Calgary-based office. Candidates will be working in-office 4 days/week and 1 day WFH. *This is not a traditional IT Business Analyst role*
Must Haves
7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Financial Analyst, or Capital Planning Analyst with a focus on Cost control, capital approvals (AFEs) , and capital portfolio management
Experience with capital portfolio tracking, budget management , and spend governance
Robust background with Excel and data analysis
Experience in Forecasting, variance analysis , and reporting
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
Experience inenergy, midstream, utilities, or other asset-intensive industries
Strong Nice to Haves:
Proficiency in statistical and financial modelling
Understanding of rail, freight management, carrier selection, and routing optimization
Midstream experience
Experience in PowerBI, JD Edwards or Workday
Responsibilities
Coordinate the capital portfolio governance framework through maintenance of actual and forecast spend data
Analyze data from JD Edwards, Workday, and internal sources to create storylines
Support the Operations Planning & Analysis team with preparing, collecting, and organizing documentation
Track KPIs and distribute reports on operating costs and G&A;
Ensure accuracy in processes for communicating, evaluating, and storing operations cost information
Monitor operational performance metrics and identify trends for continuous improvement




Assist in the implementation of an Integrated Business Planning tool
