The full-time Midwife role emphasizes compassionate care for women across various stages of life, from teens to Elders. Reporting to the Integrated Care Manager, you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team. Key duties include promoting health outcomes, providing pre- and post-natal care, and engaging in culturally relevant practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver culturally competent care to women and families
• Provide educational support for pre- and post-natal health
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community resources
• Maintain accurate health records and reporting
• Address social determinants impacting client wellness
Requirements:
• Completion of an Indigenous/Aboriginal Midwifery Program
• Knowledge of Obstetrical practices and standards
• Experience in providing culturally appropriate care
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and insurance
• Willingness to engage in Indigenous cultural training
