Maverick Trading is hiring a fully remote Equity & Options Trader open to applicants in Calgary, Canada. We are a 25+ year proprietary trading firm that allocates firm capital to disciplined traders and scales buying power based on performance and risk management.
Trading from North America:
Trade US market hours from your local time zone — the NYSE opens at 9:30am local. Trading from elsewhere in North America gives you near-perfect overlap with US markets — same or adjacent time zones, same trading day, no schedule gymnastics.
This is not a challenge account. Not a demo evaluation. We provide structured capital allocation for traders who want a professional path to scaling capital.
What you will do:
Trade equities and options within defined risk parameters
Follow a structured, rules-based risk management approach
Build consistency and scale capital based on performance
Why options:
Options allow traders to define risk, hedge exposures, and structure trades beyond easy directional stock positions. Maverick is one of the few proprietary trading firms that actively trades options as a core part of its trading approach.

Compensation:
This is a 1099 independent contractor role. Compensation is a profit-split on trading performance, with no base salary. Top-tier traders earn 90% of their net trading profits.

Willingness to complete the Maverick Qualification Program before trading firm capital
