JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking an SAP Solution Architect to join a top aerospace company based in Longueuil, QC.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a key contributor on a major transformation initiative focused on modernizing the company's PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and MES (Manufacturing Execution System) platforms.
Work closely with functional SMEs, architects, and technical teams to define and document future-state solution and integration architecture.
Support the alignment of current SAP ECC/HANA environments with the organization's planned SAP S/4HANA roadmap.
Help design and document integration strategies between SAP, PLM, and MES platforms to ensure compatibility with future S/4HANA requirements.
Develop and maintain solution documentation, including technical architecture, integration designs, and functional specifications.
Participate in project planning, requirements gathering, architecture discussions, and stakeholder collaboration throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Ensure new platform capabilities and integrations are designed in a way that minimizes future rework as SAP upgrades are completed.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Senior SAP Solution Architect with 8-10+ years of experience
Experience in the technical implementation of SAP Projects with ABAP systems as well as SAP PI/PO (Process Orchestration)
Experience with Netweaver ABAP and JAVA stack;
Experience with the ABAP development techniques;
Experience with the SAP Fiori & SAPUI5 development techniques;
Experience with the SAP HANA technology;
Experience with the SAP Cloud deployment (BTP)
Basic Project Management skill set;
Proficiency in business process design and SAP ECC configuration
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Previous experience with SAP Product Lifecycle Management System Integration
Previous experience with SAP-PLM and SAP-MES (Manufacturing Execution System) integration
Familiarity with SAP PP module and SAP AIF
SAP Portal platforms and some SAP SaaS solution such as IBP, FSM or Ariba - Knowledge of Microsoft Office toolset
Knowledge of the new SAP development techniques with S/4Hana & BW/4Hana with the new ABAP extension concepts, native application on Hana, restful services, micro services and mobile development
Knowledge of the DevOps concepts with the SAP platform using micro service development with cloud foundry and tools such as GitHub, Jenkins & contemporary testing tools
Knowledge of SAP security concepts for ECC
Familiarity with Export Compliance regulations (an asset) - Domain knowledge - dealing with production planning processed data (manufacturing background)
French is an asset
