Duties & Responsibilities
Evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble and repair the on road equipment efficiently and effectively
Use secondary materials and equipment safely
Use related instruments, hand/power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
Accurately document on work orders all unit information, actions taken, and time spent
Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely,
and to accepted standards
Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
Work with equipment engineers to diagnose and fulfill warranty requirements
Road test equipment and verify repairs as required
Other duties as required

Required Skills
Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with equipment engineers, the service team, and branch personnel.
Outstanding knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems
Proven computer/ technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work
Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs
Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure
Strong communication skills,
showing an appreciation of customer needs
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
A commitment to high quality customer service
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Required Experience
Previous mechanical experience in a truck and coach environment is required
Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Transport technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred
Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems is considered an asset
Must be committed to customer service and service excellence
