Contribute to financial decision-making as a Financial Analyst II at Seaspan Vancouver Shipyards. Focus on cost analysis, forecasting, and reporting while benefiting from a hybrid work model after onboarding.
This role reports to the Operations Finance Manager and is critical for developing financial metrics and strategies. You will collect, analyze, and interpret financial data, delivering insights that enable enhanced organizational performance. Regular interaction with various support teams will be part of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecast processes
• Conduct variance analysis to identify financial performance drivers
• Support ad hoc analysis and business case development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data alignment
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
• 3-5 years of financial analysis experience
• Knowledge of Canadian ASPE GAAP and reporting
• Advanced skills in Excel and financial software
• Solid analytical and communication abilities
