Our client, a company operating in the mining sector, is looking for an experienced, organized and collaborative professional to join its team as a Senior Human Resources Advisor at the Kiena Mine.
Tasks Supporting managers with their day-to-day human resources matters;
Managing recruitment activities, from job postings to welcoming new employees;
Taking part in initiatives designed to attract, integrate and engage talent;
Assisting supervisors with the application of internal policies, HR best practices and legal obligations;
Handling employee relations files, disciplinary matters, internal investigations and conflict resolution;
Contributing to performance review processes, skills development and succession planning;
Following up on employee administration matters, including vacation, overtime, benefits and CNESST files;
Participating in various HR projects, tracking reports, organizational initiatives and activities that support a positive work environment;
Providing guidance, when required, to students or interns within the HR department;
Performing any other related duties.

Job requirements Be available to work in Val d'Or;
Hold a bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial relations, business administration or a related field;




Have at least 5 years of experience in human resources, ideally in a senior advisory role and in recruitment;
Have good knowledge of Quebec labour laws;
Be a member of the CRHA or CRIA, an asset;
Be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite;
Knowledge of ADP, an asset;
Demonstrate strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills;
Show autonomy, rigour and good priority management skills.

Overall, the HR Business Partner - Labour Relations acts as a strategic and operational expert in managing relationships with employees and union partners.
Our client plays a vital role in maritime transportation, connecting remote communities like Anticosti and the Lower North Shore. They are committed to building a strong culture of prevention. The position, based in Rimouski, involves 40 to 60% travel on the main vessel and to the serviced ports. It’s a key opportunity to contribute to a meaningful and structuring project.
