Join Enbridge as an Instrumentation and Controls Technologist in Ontario, where you will contribute to the safety and reliability of energy delivery. This hands-on role focuses on fieldwork, telemetry systems, and ensuring natural gas safely reaches communities.
As a key member of the Utilities & Power Operations team, you will engage in the implementation and upkeep of various electrical and communication systems. Your robust technical background and five or more years of field experience will be crucial in troubleshooting, programming Remote Terminal Units, and responding to telemetry incidents. You will collaborate with Gas Control and SCADA staff to minimize disruptions and conduct necessary repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and maintain Electrical and Controls systems
• Program Remote Terminal Units and other communication devices
• Troubleshoot telemetry incidents and outages
• Prepare detailed reports on system failures
• Participate in a rotational on-call duty across Ontario
Requirements:
• College degree in Instrumentation/Controls or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant field experience
• Solid understanding of SCADA and telemetry systems
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Ability to travel and work in harsh conditions
