Joelle’sTechnical Resources & Custom Works Inc. is currently seeking an experiencedField Supervisor to join our growing team in Timmins, Ontario.
Weare looking for a dependable, safety-focused, and experienced individual whocan effectively lead crews and oversee field operations at various industrialand mining sites.
Thisis a hands-on leadership position. The successful candidate must be comfortableworking alongside the crew when required while providing robust supervision,planning, communication, and accountability in the field.
KeyResponsibilities
TheField Supervisor will be responsible for:
Supervisingand coordinating employees assigned to field projects.
Providingclear daily work assignments and ensuring employees understand the scopeof work.
Planning andorganizing manpower, tools, equipment and materials required for each job.
Conducting orparticipating in pre-job meetings, FLRAs/field-level risk assessments,toolbox talks and other required safety documentation.
Ensuring allwork is completed safely and in accordance with JTR policies, clientrequirements and applicable health and safety legislation.
Monitoringthe quality and progress of work throughout each shift.
Ensuringemployees follow site-specific rules, procedures and permit requirements.
Maintainingprofessional communication with JTR management, employees and clientrepresentatives.
Identifyinghazards, delays, equipment concerns and other issues and communicatingthem promptly to management.
Ensuringincidents, near misses, injuries, property damage and safety concerns arereported immediately and properly documented.
Monitoringemployee performance, attendance, conduct and compliance with companyexpectations.
Ensuringemployees use the appropriate PPE, tools and equipment for assigned tasks.
Coordinatingwith Operations regarding scheduling,



manpower requirements and changes tothe scope of work.
Ensuringcompany vehicles, tools and equipment assigned to the crew are properlyused and cared for.
Reviewing andsubmitting required field documentation and timesheets accurately and ontime.
Supportingtraining and mentoring of apprentices and less-experienced employees.
Leading byexample and promoting a positive, respectful and safety-focused workplace.
Performingother field and supervisory duties as required.
Qualifications& Experience
Theideal candidate should have:
Previoussupervisory or leadership experience in an industrial, construction,mining, millwright or welding environment.
Strongknowledge of industrial and/or mining-site operations.
Demonstratedability to lead and coordinate field crews.
Strongcommitment to workplace health and safety.
Ability toread and understand work instructions, drawings, procedures and job scopesas applicable.
Strongplanning, organization and problem-solving skills.
Excellentverbal and written communication skills.
Ability tocommunicate professionally with employees, management and clients.
Ability tocomplete field documentation accurately and promptly.
Ability towork independently and make appropriate decisions in the field.
Ability tomanage changing priorities and work under pressure.
Validdriver’s licence with an acceptable driving record.
Ability andwillingness to travel to various job sites and work different shiftsdepending on project requirements.




Relevanttrade experience or certification in millwrighting, welding, fabrication, oranother industrial trade would be considered a strong asset.
Miningexperience and previous experience supervising crews on active industrial siteswould also be considered strong assets.
