Jardeg is currently recruiting for Carpenter Journeypersons to work with Technical Workforce Inc. for one of our infrastructure projects in Calgary, AB!
The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday. The shift may include extended hours and weekends, as required by the site. This is a local position; candidate must have their own reliable transportation and a valid Driver's License.
As a Carpenter Journeyperson, you will: Build forms for concrete
Cut, shape, and join
Look for and fix deficiencies
Check accuracy of work, and make adjustments as required
Study blueprints for work planning
Construct and form chutes for pouring concrete
Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
Perform labourer duties in addition to carpentry work
Acts as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters
Preference will be given to a candidate that has a Carpenter Journeyperson Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
Experience with concrete formwork is required
Bridge experience is a strong asset
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
