The Sr Production Planner is responsible for leading day-to-day production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This role coordinates team members, monitors production targets, resolves operational issues, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

You will be reporting to Sr Material Management Manager and you’ll work onsite at Cambridge, ON.

The Production Lead acts as the link between frontline employees, Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Quality, and Leadership while ensuring production goals, quality standards, and operational metrics are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Operational Execution

Lead daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.

Coordinate workflow and assign resources based on priorities and production schedules.

Monitor production output and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

Escalate and resolve production delays, equipment concerns, and operational risks as required.

Ensure shift goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) are achieved.

Team Leadership

Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and support to production employees

CI is an important part of the OPL role. Using daily product experience, collaboration with the front line and engineering to develop robust improvements will be key

Performance Management

Monitor employee performance and provide regular feedback.

Participate in performance reviews and development planning.

Recognize employee achievements and promote team unity

Safety & Compliance

Promote and enforce health and safety standards.

Conduct workplace inspections and participate in incident investigations.

Ensure compliance with SOPs, policies, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.

Support a strong safety culture and proactive hazard identification.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.

Investigate defects and implement corrective actions.





Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or continuous improvement initiatives.

Analyze production data and recommend process improvements.

Communication & Collaboration

Act as liaison between production teams and management.

Collaborate with maintenance, quality, planning, warehouse, and support functions.

Maintain accurate production records and reporting.

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP and CSP security clearance.

MUST HAVE

Diploma or degree in Operations, Materials Management, Manufacturing, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of production, manufacturing, or operations experience.

Minimum of 5 years in a leadership, team lead, or supervisory role preferred.

The annual base salary range for this position is $81,200 to $105,500 in Cambridge, Ontario. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
