Shape the future of HR with the City of Burnaby as the Manager of Compensation and Perks. Lead policy development and foster relationships with management, unions, and employees in a temporary full-time role.

The People and Culture Department is seeking an experienced compensation professional to manage HR systems and benefits while the current manager takes on a strategic project. You will be responsible for consulting, project management, and the design of compensation policies aligned with the City’s vision. Build productive relationships with key stakeholders to enhance business performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead research and implementation of compensation and benefits programs
• Oversee staff handling job evaluation and HR records




• Facilitate collective bargaining and contract negotiations
• Manage job evaluation appeals and related discussions
• Ensure adherence to compensation regulations and policies

Requirements:
• Degree in Human Resources or related field
• Minimum 5 years in compensation and organizational design
• CPHR or CCP designation preferred
• Proficient in HR systems and MS Office
• Valid Driver's Licence for British Columbia
