What you’ll be doing as a People and Culture Lead
Partner with leaders to support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment through offboarding.
Provide practical HR guidance that supports a positive, respectful and engaged workplace.
Support employee relations, performance management and workplace investigations.
Coordinate learning and development, health and safety administration, HR systems and compliance activities.
Help strengthen the People and Culture practices that support KCC’s employees and continued grow

What you bring with you
3 – 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience with exposure across multiple areas of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources or related field.
CPHR designation, or progress toward obtaining your designation is considered an asset.
Experience providing practical HR guidance to leaders and supporting employee relations, workplace investigations, and performance conversations.
Working knowledge of the BC Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, WorkSafeBC requirements, and HR best practices.
Experience coordinating learning and development initiatives, health and safety administration, and HR compliance activities.
Confidence managing sensitive information with professionalism, sound judgement and discretion.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
Robust organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS and/or payroll systems.
