Responsibilities
Prescription verification requiring solid attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Supporting billing and adjudication of prescriptions using Kroll and working alongside pharmacy assistants and pharmacists to complete administrative/computer work - lots of variety in this role!
General dispensing/verification technicians would not work in the cleanroom. That said, this is a setting that does have cleanroom compounding occuring on-site - if you are keen to learn sterile compounding as you continue to learn and grow, there the possibility for that here over time. To start, the role is not focused on compounding, however.
Communication with internal and external parties to support patient safety and care.
Acting with professionalism and reliability in all aspects of pharmacy practice.
Qualifications
Must hold an active license as a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) - registered technician interns are welcome to apply to this posting.
Availability for full-time on-site pharmacy work 5 days per week
Open to candidates of all experience levels; from newly licensed to seasoned professionals.
