Job Description Administrative Assistant is a self-starter with strong organization, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills. Working in a fast-paced, customer and employee-oriented setting, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for organizing and coordinating the administrative needs of the team. This is a 4 month term position.
Support Superintendent with daily administrative tasks
Manage customer and employee enquiries in a courteous, expedient, and professional manner
Provide support to our operational sites in the region,
Coordinate recertification training and submit certificates to Safety Centre.
Provide support and assist with monthly operational KPI Reports.
Coordinate and conducting onboarding sessions for all new hires.
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with people of all backgrounds and levels of comprehension including managers, employees, customers, customers regarding sensitive or confidential issues
Ability to work with others to foster a respectful workplace and an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork; create a work environment that is open to maintaining positive relationships
Skilled at building, developing, mentoring, and leading in a way that promotes the Cando culture and its values of safety, growth, innovation, and employee/customer satisfaction
Demonstrate ability to work independently, be self-motivated, innovative, and able to be
responsible in the decision-making process; ability to think pro-actively and strategically
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the skill to adapt easily to other software systems
Demonstrated information gathering skills used to find and identify essential information
Education & Experience Post-secondary certification in office or business administration an asset
1 - 3 years experience working in either Oil & Gas, Rail Industries, or a similar industry
Experience with Onboarding/New Hire presentations.
