Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Various locations. Willing to relocate. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Consulting firm. Remote or mobile. Tasks: Assess, document and optimize the capacity and performance of information and communication system networks. Research, design and develop information and communication system network architecture. Research, evaluate and integrate network system and data communication hardware and software. Analyze user's requirements, and design and develop system architecture and specifications. Develop and conduct design verification simulations and prototype bench tests of components. Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment. Provide problem-solving services to network users. Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet. Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks. Coordinate access and use of computer networks. Computer and technology knowledge: Firewall. Equipment and machinery experience: Switches. Routers. Area of specialization: Telecommunications. Networks. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel regularly. Willing to travel overnight.
