Join Onion Lake Family Services as a Sitoskakew Iskewew Worker, providing vital mentorship and prevention services to youth in the community. Facilitate workshops and foster healthy relationships while promoting the Cree Way of Life.
This role is dedicated to empowering young women and families within the Onion Lake Cree Nation. You'll provide culturally grounded support, connect with community resources, and respond to crises effectively. Approximately 80% of your work will be community-based, focused on enhancing personal growth through collaboration and activities that build healthy relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide mentorship services to young women in the community
• Facilitate personal growth workshops and activities
• Connect clients with essential community resources
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation
• Collaborate with families and community partners to support youth
Requirements:
• Certificate or diploma in Human Services or related field
• Experience in social work or related services
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Transparent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
• Relevant education and experience combinations considered
