Permanent Opportunity

Location: Coquitlam, BC

Work Arrangement: In-office

Permanent Salary: Approximately $85,000

Start Date: October 2026

Our client is a growing, multi-location organization seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Coquitlam.

This is a hands-on opportunity within a busy, operational environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing detailed accounting responsibilities, responding to changing priorities and working closely with finance and operational leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Support the monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.

Prepare and post journal entries, accruals and adjusting entries.

Complete balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations.

Prepare financial statements, management reports and variance analyses.

Investigate account discrepancies and resolve outstanding accounting issues.

Support multi-entity and intercompany accounting and reconciliations.

Assist with cash-flow reporting and forecasting.

Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash activity.

Support inventory reconciliations, costing and variance reporting.

Assist with sales tax and other government filings.

Prepare audit working papers and respond to audit requests.

Maintain accurate supporting schedules and accounting documentation.

Work with operational managers to resolve accounting and reporting issues.

Assist with ERP, reporting and accounting process improvements.





Support special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Several years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience.

Solid experience with month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.

Advanced Excel skills.

Experience using ERP or integrated accounting systems.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities.

Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Experience in a multi-location, automotive, manufacturing, distribution, retail or other operational business would be an asset.

CPA designation or progress toward a designation would be an asset.
