Job Title: Transportation Coordinator
Location: Cambridge, ON
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour + vacation pay
Type: Temporary (6 months with possibility of extension)
Schedule: Tues-Sat 2:00PM-10:30AM, 5 days in-office
Kelly Services is hiring on behalf of our client in Cambridge for Transportation Coordinator role. This position supports afterhours transportation operations, acting as the main point of contact for customers, drivers, and carriers.
Key Responsibilities: Act as primary contact for customers, drivers, and carriers during afternoon/evening operations
Provide shipment updates and respond to inquiries via phone, email, and dispatch systems
Monitor trips to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
Assign loads and coordinate with drivers and dispatch teams as needed
Track shipment activity using Trimble and update internal systems
Handle after-hours issues including delays, breakdowns, and missed pickups
Coordinate with maintenance or road service for equipment issues
Escalate urgent issues to day-shift teams when required
Maintain accurate logs, reports, and exception documentation
Ensure smooth shift handoffs between teams
Qualifications: Previous experience in transportation/logistics required
Supply Chain education is an asset
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems
Solid communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
