Positions at this level perform complex and diverse administrative duties to support a particular area. Incumbents typically provide comprehensive support to a varied group of staff, ensuring efficient coordination of day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities entering and maintaining data in relevant systems
receiving and directing visitors
responding to inquiries
providing detailed program-related information
coordinates room bookings, schedules appointments, processes mail and manages the creation and maintenance of office files
maintaining website content
preparing materials
ordering office supplies and catering services
distributing and assisting with the completion of forms
maintaining information media
general office equipment maintenance, desktop publishing, typing and distribution of documents (including meeting minutes), and the production of reports
reconciling credit accounts, maintaining office supply budgets, or coding invoices
may supervise a small team responsible for routine or lower complexity tasks
Skills & Abilities Knowledge of program-related policies, guidelines, and procedures
Good understanding of organizational policies and procedures
Knowledge of office administration theories and principles




Knowledge of office equipment and related software
Knowledge of customer service methods and techniques
Ability to lift up to 11 kg (25 lbs)
Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent
Certificate OR Diploma in a related field
Several years of related experience is required
Equivalencies for required qualifications may be considered
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or the Comparative Education Services (CES)
Classification – Administrative Support IV
This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
Remuneration Refer to salary range noted on this posting, plus 12% in lieu of statutory holidays and vacation pay. The compensation range for this job posting is : $25.66 - $33.12
