Become a Community Inclusion Support Worker in a full-time role dedicated to empowering adults with developmental disabilities. Support individuals in independent living, community engagement, and personal care in a culturally respectful manner.
This position reports to the Community Inclusion & Outreach Manager and emphasizes a person-centered approach. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Community Living B.C. services and foster connections with families and community members. Key responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, promoting health and wellness, and maintaining communication among all service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support individual participation in personal decision-making
• Collaborate on case management tasks with the CLBC Coordinator
• Build skilled relationships that nurture personal growth
• Assist with daily living activities and meal preparation
• Facilitate access to community food services as needed
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–2 years of experience in disability support
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• BC Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
