Job Title: Cable Assembler Job Description
The Cable Assembler works across multiple production stations to prepare, assemble, crimp, strip, and pot cable assemblies and connectors. In this role, you collaborate with a team to build electrical components using process documents and schematics, handling plastic and metal parts of varying sizes. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, precision, and patience when working with small components.
Responsibilities
Prepare cables and components at various production stations, including prepping, assembly, crimping, stripping, and potting.
Assemble cable connectors of different sizes using plastic and metal components according to established procedures.
Follow process documents, drawings, and schematics to assemble electrical components accurately and consistently.
Operate cutting and crimping machines and related tools to cut, strip, and crimp wires and cables.
Use measuring tools, such as measuring tape, to ensure precise cuts and correct cable lengths.
Perform basic electrical and electronic assembly tasks in line with safety and quality standards.
Work as part of an assembly line team, coordinating with approximately 16 team members on the commercial team.
Maintain a clean, organized workstation and contribute to overall shop cleanliness and orderliness.
Complete assigned daily task lists and production orders on time while meeting quality expectations.
Participate in cross-training within the facility to support various tasks and stations as needed.
Essential Skills
Hands-on assembly experience, ideally in cable or electrical assembly.
Ability to perform crimping and cutting of wire and cable connectors.
Basic electrical knowledge to support electrical and electronic assembly work.
Manufacturing labor experience of at least 6 months.
Proficiency in using measuring tape and other basic hand tools for precise measurements.
Ability to read and follow process documents, drawings, and schematics.
Strong attention to detail, precision, and patience when working with small parts.
Capability to work effectively as part of an assembly line team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Soldering experience.
Experience in electronics assembly.
Experience operating cutting or crimping machines.
Comfort working with both plastic and metal components in cable assemblies.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, organized production facility designed to minimize noise and distractions. Workers receive a daily list of tasks and follow drawings and process documents to complete orders on time. The standard shift runs Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., offering a predictable daytime schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB.
Pay and Advantages
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
