Position: Service Manager / 310T Truck and Coach Technician

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Joel Vachon Trucking Inc.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated 310T Truck and Coach Technician Service Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who has strong technical knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead a busy service department.

Responsibilities

Lead, support, and schedule technicians and service staff

Diagnose, repair, and oversee maintenance of trucks, trailers, and heavy-duty equipment

Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

Review work orders, estimates, parts requirements, and job progress

Communicate with customers regarding repairs, service requirements, and timelines

Coordinate preventative maintenance and service schedules

Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulations

Maintain accurate service records and documentation

Monitor shop productivity, quality, and turnaround times

Assist technicians with complex diagnostic and repair issues when required





Maintaining Fleets

Qualifications

Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician Red Seal certification required

Minimum 5 years of experience as a 310T technician

Previous supervisory or service management experience is an asset

Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills

Experience working with diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, air systems, and other heavy-duty truck components

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Ability to prioritize multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment

Valid driver's licence

Robust commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
