Key Responsibilities

Lead month-end/year-end close and produce financial statements & variance reporting

Manage job costing, WIP reporting, project margin tracking , and change order accounting

Oversee AP/AR, progress billings, collections, and cash flow forecasting

Ensure compliance (HST, payroll remittances, WSIB) and maintain solid internal controls

Partner with PMs/Operations on budgets, committed costs, and forecast-to-complete

Manage/mentor the accounting team and improve processes/systems

Qualifications

CPA preferred

7+ years accounting/finance experience, construction/project accounting required

Strong understanding of progress billings, holdbacks, subcontractor accounting, and cost codes

Advanced Excel; experience with construction accounting/ERP systems is an asset
