Responsibilities Serve as the in-house engineering resource for technology and equipment upgrades, including drives, controllers, and automation systems.
Support continuous improvement initiatives through process enhancements, automation, and safety improvements.
Lead and manage capital and expense projects from concept through start-up and completion.
Develop project scopes, budgets, funding requests, and execution plans.
Oversee engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
Deliver solutions that meet technical, operational, quality, and performance objectives.
Qualifications Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree
A minimum of 3 years experience leading capital projects
Prior experience in manufacturing or other heavy industrial projects is considered an asset
Ability to successfully execute within a team environment
Ability to lead cross-functional project teams involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring projects are completed in a cost-effective,
timely, reliable, and safe manner
Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
Must demonstrate ownership, initiative, attention-to-detail, and a drive to ensure things are done right the first time.
Above-average planning and organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office
