As part of the Coding & Classification department, the Health Records Technician will report to the Director of Health Information Services. You will be pivotal in coding and entering data into the 3M-HDM system, ensuring compliance with established guidelines. Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
• Code and abstract health information records accurately
• Input data into the 3M-HDM computerized abstracting system
• Ensure compliance with CIHI and Health Centre guidelines




• Analyze patient records for adherence to standards
• Maintain health record storage and retrieval systems

Requirements:
• Graduate from a CHIMA recognized Health Information Management program
• Certified HIM Professional eligibility from the Canadian College of Health Information Management
• Experience with ICD-10-CA/CCI coding practices
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff
