Reporting to the Manager, Benefits Administration, this role is responsible for the accounting related aspects of retirement and benefits for the North American business units. This role works across multiple geographically dispersed departments including Corporate Accounting, Payroll, Human Resources, and IT as well as across multiple ERPs including Oracle and SAP.

What You'll Do:

Manage benefit and retirement billing processes, including vendor invoice processing, self-billed invoicing and report generation

Streamline and consolidate billing processes across Canada and the US

Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance data accuracy and reduce manual effort

Manage vendor setup and maintenance requests to support invoice processing

Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors to support billing and payment processes, provide documentation, and resolve invoice and payment-related issues





Review and validate benefit and retirement premiums and investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies to ensure accurate vendor charges and allocations

Prepare and maintain procedural documentation for benefit and retirement billing processes, reports and inquiries. Conduct audits of uncollected U.S. benefit deductions, resolving discrepancies and ensuring compliance

Prepare annual Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order entries

Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Human resources or equivalent experience and certification

3+ years of relevant work experience ideally in the pension and/or benefit space

Experience with US and Canada HR data, business rules and legislative requirements

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working with multiple functions and in a multi-tasking, deadline oriented, team setting.

Strong analytical, critical thinking, sound judgment, investigative and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail

Technology skills including MicroSoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint at intermediate level required

Understanding of payroll and payroll processes

SAP, Success Factors and ServiceNow experience preferred

Demonstrated strengths in time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and respond appropriately to urgent requests.

Solution-oriented with demonstrated ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, peers, and team members
