Senior Communication Professional
Join a high-profile communications function supporting complex projects and strategic initiatives within a large energy organization. This role leads communication planning, stakeholder engagement, and project communication activities across multi-stakeholder environments, including infrastructure and energy-related initiatives. The position supports executive sponsors, steering committees, and business teams through communication strategy, implementation planning, and advisory services.
CA$71,083.00 yearly
Contract, Hybrid
Location: Edmonds - Hybrid work schedule - at least 2 days per week
Travel may be required to Non Integrated Areas(NIA) depending on business needs.
Must Haves 7+ years in strategic communications , public affairs , or stakeholder engagement across complex multi-stakeholder or infrastructure/energy projects
Communication strategy , change management , and project communication planning for formal programs and initiatives
Digital communications , multimedia communications , content management , and communication material development including newsletters, presentations, and reports
Stakeholder engagement , executive communications , and translating complex technical, regulatory, or energy concepts for diverse audiences
Solid project management, organizational,



and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust-based relationships and work effectively in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
Willingness and ability to travel to remote NIA communities as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, Indigenous Studies, or a related field
Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license and clean driving record
Nice to Have Experience in the energy or utilities sector
Regulatory environment communications experience
Government or public sector communications experience
Responsibilities Compose, write, and edit communication materials including newsletters, management reports, and presentations
Lead communication planning for formal programs and projects
Develop communication deliverables, progress reports, and implementation plans
Present implementation plans to business leads, steering committees, and executive sponsors
Create communication plans using consultative methodologies and online platforms
Advise on communication and stakeholder relations standards, policies, and procedures
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support project and strategic initiative delivery
