Work closely with mining clients and technical teams on projects
Support the mine planning team and other technical disciplines by providing guidance, training, and mentorship
Promote a culture of safety and well-being
Utilize understanding of mining engineering principles to aid in creating design surfaces, schedules, and cost estimates
Support proposal development process by outlining work scopes and estimating project schedules and costs
Prepare, review, and authenticate advanced technical documentation and reports
Oversee budget, scope, and schedule of projects
Facilitate workshops and conduct risk assessments with stakeholders
Develop and maintain relationships with clients
Requirements
Knowledge of mine planning first principles
Experience in mine and/or tailings planning
Experience in the operational or closure phases within the mining industry
Familiarity with regulatory and legislative frameworks
Strong project management skills
Skills in mine planning software (Hexagon MinePlan and/or Deswik, CAD)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to travel for workshops, client meetings, and site visits
Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
Registered as a Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training with APEGA or capable of transferring from another jurisdiction
