A career as a National Director, Insurance Advisor Practice Development within National Bank Insurance Solutions (NBIS) and National Bank Insurance Firm (NBIF) means acting as an expert in performance improvement and professional practice development. In this role, you play a key part in driving the growth and effectiveness of the financial security advisor network by supporting advisors at every stage of their development, from junior professionals to seasoned experts.
Leveraging your expertise in coaching, business development, and performance management, you help increase the network's sales capacity, optimize client segmentation practices, and support the sustainable growth of advisor portfolios. You also develop and implement strategies and approaches that elevate professional standards and accelerate advisor success across the country.
Your Role

- Support financial security advisors in developing every aspect of their practice by conducting assessments, creating action plans, and providing structured follow-up on their progress.
- Influence professional behaviours through personalized coaching tailored to diverse advisor profiles, from early-career professionals to highly experienced advisors, and across various business contexts.
- Design and implement development programs, practice standards, tools, and guides that promote the adoption of best practices throughout the network.
- Improve the conversion of banking referrals by supporting pipeline management, opportunity follow-up, and the quality of sales execution.
- Analyze performance metrics, identify gaps, and recommend targeted interventions to increase productivity and business results.
- Collaborate with internal partners to enhance processes, tools, and the overall effectiveness of the bancassurance distribution model.

National Bank Insurance provide financial services through the distribution of individual insurance, group insurance, and investment products via a network of financial security advisors operating across most Canadian provinces.
As part of the Insurance sector, you will directly contribute to the development and evolution of best practices across the advisor network nationwide. Reporting to the Associate Vice-President, you will work closely with business partners to enhance commercial performance, support skills development, and drive the adoption of sustainable, high-performing practices.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in insurance, financial services, and business development.
- Significant experience in coaching, skills development, and supporting professionals at various stages of their careers.




- Strong understanding of performance drivers and the life insurance sales cycle.
- Knowledge of the regulatory framework governing the insurance and financial services industry.
