Job Title: Full-Time Nanny in North-end Halifax

Schedule:

- Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:15 AM to approximately 3:45 PM (up to 42.5 hours/week)
- Any weekly hours worked after 3:45pm will be 1.5x hourly pay
- Overtime opportunities may be available for evening or weekend coverage

About the Family:
We are a loving and professional family seeking a nurturing, reliable, and experienced nanny to care for our 2 and 4.5 year old beginning Aug 17. We value a warm, engaging caregiver who prioritizes safety and developmentally appropriate play, while also maintaining structure and routine.

We have 2 dogs who are part of our family; however pet care is not required as part of the job responsibilities throughout the duration of your shifts.

Responsibilities:

- Provide attentive, hands-on care in a protected and stimulating environment
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities (reading, sensory play, music, outdoor time)
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the children
- Maintain children’s nap schedule and diapering/toileting routines
- Light child-related housekeeping (e.g., tidying play areas)
- Monitor developmental milestones and communicate regularly with parents




- Daycare drop off and pick up for 4.5 year old as required
- Follow all household guidelines and routines

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of nanny or childcare experience with infants/toddlers
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Strong references from previous childcare positions
- Non-smoker
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Warm, patient, and proactive personality

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $20/hr; up to 42.5 hrs/week

Overtime Pay - 1.5x hourly rate beyond 42.5 hr/week (would be rarely required)

Benefits Package:

- Paid Christmas vacation for 2 weeks
- Additional 7 days paid vacation time
- Paid holidays (up to 6 federal holidays)
