The Dryden Regional Health Centre is seeking to fill the following position with a highly motivated, team-oriented professional:

Casual Stabilization Support Worker

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Stabilization Support Worker assists in the holistic, short-term recovery of mental health clients who are in attendance at the Community-Based Stabilization Unit, by providing a warm, welcoming, therapeutic workplace.

Responsibilities

- Oversight of client's activities of daily living
- Food preparation and housekeeping
- Paraprofessional verbal engagement of the client on an individual and / or group basis
- Providing resources to community supports
- Paraprofessional client mental health education
- Provide follow-up within the community as appropriate within the scope of this position description

Qualifications

- Approved Personal Support Worker Program or equivalent
- Current CPR
- Experience working with individuals with mental illness or substance use preferred
- Ability to work independently
- Commitment to work days and weekends, twelve (12) hour shifts
- Possess a valid Ontario driver's license and have unlimited access to a vehicle/2 million liability insurance; Must provide clean drivers abstract.

- Ability to perform the essential duties of the job
- Demonstrates DRHC Core Values; accountability, integrity, humility, compassion and respect
- Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination status to be presented prior to hire

This is a unionized position. Salary is as per CBA; starting at $30.54/hr.
