Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.Your Challenge:Develop and update SMT and selective wave soldering processes, including stencil printing, pick and place programming, reflow profiling and soldering parameter optimizationTroubleshoot SMT and selective solder defects, driving improvements in yield, throughput and process stability through data-driven analysisEvaluate new equipment, technologies and processes used in fabrication of complex electronic assembliesInterface with NPI and design engineering to co-ordinate new product release to productionDevelop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, research testing methods and conferring with equipment vendorsMake case of capital expenditures and ROI calculationsDocument assembly and process steps to allow manufacturing of productsDesign new fixtures to support process changeMake recommendations of tooling and process requirements of current and existing processesAnalyze manufacturing and test data for trendsPerform methodical, disciplined techniques to meet customer expectations and internal targets for OTD metricsReview non-conforming materials and coordinate with quality assurance for appropriate dispositionDraft,
review and approve ECOs and deviations where needed to support productionProvide input to architecture, design, and Test coverage reviews (DFT)Develop test environments and test cases for all mechanical and electrical systemsDebug and diagnose complex electronic circuits by setting up and performing functionality tests and specialized tests to track down the root cause of the product failuresProvide training and certification for manufacturing and test operatorsWhat you Bring:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electrical / Mechanical with 5 years of experiencePractical experience with SMT and selective wave soldering equipment, including SPI/AOI systems, reflow ovens, and selective soldering platformsStrong understanding of SMT and selective solder defect modes and corrective actions, with demonstrated ability to improve solder quality and overall line performanceTechnologist Diploma with 8 years of experience in electronic/electro-mechanical environmentSuperior mechanical, electrical and technical abilitiesSkills in analyzing, judgement and decision makingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong working knowledge of IPC Standards (IPC-610, J-STD / IPC-7711/7721)Expert knowledge of current manufacturing and test process/technologies: standards and specificationExperience in software and hardware requirements used in the testing of electronic assembliesExperience with SAP,
