NIS Contractors is looking for motivated and dependable Labourers to join our water and sewer crews. This is a hands‑on role supporting the installation and repair of underground infrastructure. If you’re ready to work hard, learn new skills, and be part of a strong team, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with installing water mains, sanitary sewer, and storm systems
- Support pipe layers and equipment operators on site
- Load/unload materials and tools
- Perform trench work, including shoveling, grading, and compaction
- Help with pipe alignment, bedding, and backfilling
- Maintain a clean and safe work site
- Follow all safety procedures, including trench and confined space safety
- Spot equipment and assist with safe excavation around utilities

Qualifications

- Previous construction or labour experience is an asset (but not required)
- Willingness to learn and take direction




- Strong work ethic and reliability show up ready to work
- Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, digging, standing for long periods)
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Team player with a safety‑first attitude

Assets

- Experience in water & sewer or civil construction
- Valid driver’s license
- Safety certifications (First Aid, WHMIS, Confined Space, etc.)
